Tips from the Top

By Peter Norton, CEO, Symantec

Desktop Decorator

Using Norton Navigator for Windows 95, I've arranged my most-used applications--DayPlanner, Navigator Control Panel, NetScape WWW Browser, Norton File Manager--in the Quick Launch area so they're readily available from any of my Navigator Virtual Desktops. Norton Navigator File Manager gives me quick access to files, either on my PC or anywhere on the Internet, with its FTP connections. To keep track of my system status--memory, free space, disk integrity, rescue status, fragmentation--I always run Norton Utilities System Doctor. Running in the background is volume control for my sound card, Norton AntiVirus auto protect and scheduler, and Norton Disk Doctor.
